In late 2010, fabricators at Altech Panel Systems finished their work on the new state-of-the-art Slidell Cancer Center in Slidell, Louisiana. The Center will feature the latest technological advances in cancer diagnostics and treatment, and will continually strive to meet the community’s healthcare needs.

Taking into account the projected population growth, the new Cancer Center was designed to accommodate a larger number of patients through an increase in both space and equipment. Geared for a multi-specialty approach, the Center provides several forms of radiation therapy, a comfortable Infusion Center for chemotherapy patients, a full-time pharmacy, and an Appearance and Cancer Resource Center. Additionally, a Patient Navigator program has been set up for cancer patients to receive a personal aide to help guide them through the treatment process.

The Slidell Cancer Center itself is a three-story, 51,483 square ft. steel frame and brick building. Creating an aesthetically pleasing front entrance, the Center also features a glass-enclosed atrium clad in ALPOLIC panels. Along with its crisp, clean, and professional appearance, lights on the exterior of the building reflect off the glass and ALPOLIC panels making the center easily visible after dark.
