Earlier this year, fabricators at Flexx Corporation finished up their work on several Pioneer/Verve gas stations and convenience stores. As part of a corporate identity re-imaging program, concepts were drawn up to revamp the company’s look through the modern appeal of updated canopies and fascia.

Applied to three prototype sites in Ontario, Canada, the program began around two years ago when Flexx Corp was approached with the updated design plan. The renovations, which would offer Pioneer/Verve a brighter and edgier look, called for sharp corners and angled faces. Despite having used aluminum plates for the past ten years, Flexx Corp recommended that the switch to ACM would be much more conducive to the new forms thanks to its versatility and ease of manipulation.

Though the original plan specified the use of a competing ACM product, Flexx Corp’s longstanding positive relationship with ALPOLIC prompted a switch in the final design. Additional factors in choosing ALPOLIC included the availability and variety of stock colors as well as the ability to create a custom material in the given timeline.
